The Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining existing customer accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities throughout your region.
Working closely with farmers and producers, you will provide tailored nutritional solutions, technical support, and excellent customer service to help maximise livestock performance and business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow animal feed sales across your designated territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pig and poultry producers.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Provide technical advice on monogastric nutrition and feeding programmes.
- Promote the company's range of feed products and nutritional solutions.
- Prepare quotations and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
- Work closely with the nutrition and technical teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales reports.
- Represent the business professionally at customer visits, industry events and agricultural shows.

Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in agricultural sales, animal nutrition, or the livestock industry.
- Good knowledge of monogastric livestock production, particularly pigs and/or poultry.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to business development.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own sales territory.
- Full UK driving licence.
Candidate requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
