A well-run organic dairy farm near Lyme Regis is looking for an experienced Milker to join the team.

This is a hands-on dairy role on a 400+ cow unit, working on an 11 days on / 3 days off rota. You will be involved in twice-daily milking through a swing-over parlour, as well as the wider day-to-day work needed to keep the dairy running properly.

This is not a milking-only position. You will need to be willing to get involved with cows, general farm duties, parlour hygiene, stock work and supporting the team wherever needed.

Must be a non-smoker.

The role

Twice-daily milking of a 400+ cow organic herd.
Working approximately 50–55 hours per week.
11 days on / 3 days off rota.
Swing-over parlour experience preferred.
Supporting daily cow care, parlour hygiene and general dairy routines.
Getting involved in wider farm duties when required.

Package

£14 per hour.
Accommodation included.
Organic dairy farm near Lyme Regis.

The person

Qualifications & experience

Previous dairy and milking experience is essential.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Good stockmanship and a practical attitude.
NVQ Level 2 in Agriculture, or an equivalent agricultural qualification.
Must be a non-smoker.
As the accommodation is rented, you must be clean, tidy and respectful of the property.
No sponsorship is available for this role.

Candidate requirements

All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
